Angèle (born Angèle Joséphine Aimée Van Laeken) is a Belgian dance-pop singer, who also runs the label Angèle VL Records.
“La Loi de Murphy,” Angèle’s 2017 debut single, was an immediate hit, going Platinum in both Belgium and France. Her first album, Brol, was the No. 1 album of 2019 on both France’s SNEP and Belgium’s ULTRATOP year-end charts. At the 2018 D6bels Music Awards, Belgium’s version of The Grammys, she received a record-breaking 10 nominations and scored 3 wins. In 2020, she won the MTV Europe Music Award for Best Belgium Act. “Fever,” her 2020 collaboration with Dua Lipa, was an international hit, reaching the top 40 in a dozen countries.
